The main activities are devoted to the synthesis of nanomaterials and thin films and their characterization by means of Ultraviolet and Infrared spectroscopy and Differential Scanning Calorimetry for the evaluation of materials thermal stability. Size Exclusion Chromatography is applied to the determination of size distribution of nanoclusters and polymers. Porous materials can be characterized by gas physisorption (specific surface area and pore distribution) and density measurements by helium pycnometry.
