EIT Manufacturing Master School

The EIT Manufacturing Master School is a two-years Double Degree Master’s course offered by a consortium of prestigious European universities in the field of engineering. 

The EIT Manufacturing Master School offers 5 specialization programmes: 

  • People and Robots for Sustainable Work
  • Additive Manufacturing for Full Flexibility
  • Zero-Defect Manufacture for a Circular Economy
  • Platforms for digitalized value networks
  • Data Analysis and AI for Competitive Manufacturing

EIT Manufacturing students spend their first year at one partner University (Entry point) and the second year at another University (Exit point) located in two different European countries. Students obtain a common background at the Entry points, and specialize on the digital manufacturing technologies related topics at the Exit points.

Programme structure at DII 

Starting from the academic year 2023/2024, the Department of Industrial Engineering will offer the programme Zero-Defect Manufacture for a Circular Economy either as Entry and Exit point within the Master's Degree in Management and Industrial Systems Engineering (LM-31).

The programme is organized in 120 ECTS (60 ECTS on each year) and is structured as follows:

  • Technical courses (total 45 ECTS) and Specialization courses (total 15 ECTS): 40-50 ECTS (first year) and 10-20 (second year)
  • Innovation and Enterpreneurship (I&E) courses (total 30 ECTS): 10-20 (first year) and 10-20 (second year)
  • Master's thesis: 30 ECTS (second year)

Students are committed to collect a total of 40-50 ECTS related to the Technical Major and of 10-20 ECTS related to the I&E Module in the first year whereas in the second year they are committed to collect 10-20 ECTS for the Technical Major, 10-20 ECTS for the I&E Module and 30 ECTS for the Master Thesis Project.

Entry and Exit points

The following partners offer the first year of the programme as Entry points:

  • Università di Trento (UNITN), Italy
  • Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI), Italy* 
  • University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland
  • Grenoble INP (GINP), France
  • Aalto University (Aalto), Finland

The following partners provide the second year as Exit points:

  • Università di Trento (UNITN), Italy
  • Grenoble INP (GINP), France
  • Aalto University (Aalto), Finland

EIT Manufacturing reserves the right to change the Exit points of the programme.

*Please be aware that you can't select POLIMI as Entry point and UNITN as Exit point as the Entry and the Exit Universities must be located in two different European countries.

Applications

Applications are made through the EITM Master School applications portal.

1st Application deadline: 1 Feb 2024. Please note we recommend this deadline to NOT EU/EFTA students requiring to apply for a VISA to study in Europe.

2nd Application deadline: 31 Mar 2024. Please consider this in case you need to get a VISA for Europe.
