Double degree programme EIT Digital

The Master School is a two-year master programme with nine technical Majors and a Minor in Innovation & Entrepreneurship. 16 European top universities, renowned researchers and leading businesses are in partnership with EIT Digital to provide cutting-edge ICT excellence in combination with innovation and entrepreneurship training, leading to a double degree and an EIT-labeled Certificate.
If are you interestested in self-driving cars, robotics or artificial intelligence, the EIT Digital Masters School offers a two year master programme in Autonomous Systems. The double-degree programme is implemented jointly by the following seven leading European universities:

  • UCA, Université Côte d'Azur, France

Organisation

The students can select their favourite first (Entry) and second (Exit) year universities. The program has an integrated technical content (Technical major) and business content (Innovation & Entrepreneurship – I&E minor). The I&E minor part is shared between all programs (30 ECTS). An integral part of the second year is the Master’s thesis (30 ECTS).

Each university has a unique specialization area in the Technical major, which allows you to select your own second year expert area:

  • Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (Aalto - Helsinki)
  • Intelligent Autonomous Systems (KTH - Stockholm)
  • Applications of Autonomous Systems (TU Berlin - Berlin)
  • Autonomous Robotic Systems (UNITN - Trento)
  • Sensing, Communicating and Processing Big Data for IoT (EURECOM - Sophia Antipolis)
  • Computer Science for Autonomous Driving (ELTE - Budapest)

At the end of a curriculum involving the University of Trento as one of the two partner Universities, the graduated students will gain a Laurea Magistrale in Mechatronics Engineering and the equivalent double degree from the other visited University.

Graduation

The Master’s thesis must be written in English under the supervision of one or more lecturers. At least one supervisor must be chosen among the faculty of the Department of Industrial Engineering of UNITN or among the professors involved in the programme.
Autonomous Systems students who spent their first or second year at UNITN should follow the procedures below to graduate.

Entry students

  • Fill in and send to dii.supportstaff [at] unitn.it the form “Request of the dissertation topic”. Please specify in the subject of the e-mail that you are a student of the EIT Digital Master School, Autonomous Systems programme. You are not requested to submit the form 6 months in advance with respect to the graduation session.

  • After graduating from the Exit University, register for the graduation session at UNITN to obtain the degree from UNITN. You don’t need to defend your thesis at UNITN, but you can choose to give a brief presentation of your work on the day of the final exam.
