Master in Autonomous Systems

The Master School is a two-year master programme with eight technical Majors and a Minor in Innovation & Entrepreneurship. 20 European top universities, renowned researchers and leading businesses are in partnership with EIT Digital to provide cutting-edge ICT excellence in combination with innovation and entrepreneurship training, leading to a double degree and an EIT-labeled Certificate.
If are you interestested in self-driving cars, robotics or artificial intelligence, the EIT Digital Masters School offers a two year master programme in Autonomous Systems. The double-degree programme is implemented jointly by the following six leading European universities:

  • UniTN, University of Trento, Italy
  • KTH, Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden
  • Aalto University, Finland
  • TU Berlin, Technical University of Berlin, Germany
  • EURECOM, France
  • ELTE, Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary

Organisation

The students can select their favorite first (Entry) and second (Exit) year universities. The program has an integrated technical content (Technical major) and business content (Innovation & Entrepreneurship – I&E minor). The I&E minor is shared between all programs (30 ECTS). An integral part of the second year is a Masters thesis (30 ECTS).

Entry points

  • UniTN, University of Trento, Italy
  • KTH, Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden
  • Aalto University, Finland
  • TU Berlin, Technical University of Berlin, Germany

Exit points

  • UniTN, University of Trento, Italy
  • KTH, Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden
  • Aalto University, Finland
  • TU Berlin, Technical University of Berlin, Germany
  • EURECOM, France
  • ELTE, Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary

Each university has a unique specialization area in the Technical major, which allows you to select your own second year expert area:

  • Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (Aalto - Helsinki)
  • Intelligent Autonomous Systems (KTH - Stockholm)
  • Applications of Autonomous Systems (TU Berlin - Berlin)
  • Real-time perception, decision and control for autonomous driving (UniTN - Trento)
  • Sensing, Communicating and Processing Big Data for IoT (EURECOM – Sophia Antipolis)
  • Computer Science for Autonomous Driving (ELTE - Budapest)

At the end of a curriculum involving the University of Trento as one of the two partner Universities, the graduated students will gain a Laurea Magistrale in Mechatronics Engineering and the equivalent double degree from the other visited University.

Local recruitment

Those students who are enrolled in the UNITN Mechatronics Engineering master's degree and want to be enrolled in the Autonomous Systems master programme, whenever accepted by EIT Digital MS and exit University for the second year, should remind that:
- They will not be able to select any elective course in the first semester of the first year. All courses will be mandatory and part of the Autonomous Systems curriculum;
- They will be committed to follow courses for a total of 36 ECTS for the first semester ("Electronics and Robotics" curriculum and "Mechanics and Mechatronics" curriculum). The additional course will let them complete the master's degree in Mechatronics Engineering at UNITN in case they do not enroll in the EIT-AUS programme.
Expressions of interest in the EIT-AUS programme should be communicated by e-mail to eitmaster [at] unitn.it before Monday 1 October 2018.
